The HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-B-ET-EC-PB-L4-NN-FW drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Within the HCS01 line, this unit serves as a compact control and power module for servo and spindle axes in distributed automation systems where cabinet space is limited. It regulates motor current and velocity while coordinating with higher-level PLCs to support torque and position control in assembly cells, packaging lines, machine tools, and other synchronized motion applications. The unit combines the power stage, feedback inputs, and communication interfaces in one frame, which reduces the need for separate axis components and keeps panel layouts more compact.
This controller accepts a three-phase supply of 3 x AC 110 to 230 V ±10% and converts it to regulated output currents up to 6 A. Heat from the power electronics is removed by an internal air path with an integrated blower, helping the unit maintain stable operation during continuous axis demand. The power section is enclosed to IP20, so it is intended for installation inside a switch cabinet where contact with live parts is limited. Command and diagnostic data move over the MultiEthernet platform, allowing direct connection to Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT networks without separate communication hardware. For axis feedback, the control section provides an IndraDyn encoder interface for Hiperface and EnDat 2.1/2.2, delivering high-resolution position information to the internal regulators.
The unit is design version 1 and uses the BASIC control section. A second fieldbus socket supports PROFIBUS, which helps the controller work with existing automation networks that still rely on that protocol for cyclic exchange. The integrated power supply supports infeeding and regenerated-energy operation, so the same hardware can accept returned energy from interconnected drives during deceleration. Functional safety is handled by built-in STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control) channels, allowing safe shutdown or brake engagement without external relays.
