The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-L3-NN-FW is a drive controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It uses design version 1 hardware with a BASIC control section and regulates torque, speed, and position loops for synchronous and asynchronous servo axes in automated machinery. Intended for the compact HCS01 platform, the unit mounts inside control cabinets and links the power stage to higher-level PLCs for coordinated motion. This layout supports closed-loop axis control in packaging, handling, and other production equipment where precise motor response is required.
Input compatibility includes a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10%, allowing the controller to operate on a wide range of plant mains without an autotransformer. The power section can deliver a peak output current of 8 A, which supports short bursts of higher torque during acceleration or rapid positioning. Motion feedback is accepted through an IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface, so high-resolution position data reaches the control loop with minimal latency. Fieldbus communication is handled over MultiEthernet, supporting Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, and EtherCAT protocols from a single port, while a second channel based on CANopen supports decentralized I/O or legacy drive networking. This combination allows the controller to fit both newer Ethernet-based machine networks and existing CAN-based subsystems.
Thermal energy is removed by an internal blower that moves air across heat-producing components and helps keep operating temperatures within limits during cabinet installation. The housing has an IP20 rating for cabinet mounting. Power is handled through an infeeding and fed power section that can return braking energy to the DC link, reducing the need for an external resistor. For personnel protection, the integrated safety interface provides STO (Safe Torque Off), which allows immediate torque isolation without additional relays.
