Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-E-S3-EC-NN-L4-AA-FW is an HCS drive controller engineered by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. As a compact single-axis inverter, it governs the torque and speed of synchronous or asynchronous motors in automated machinery, linking the power stage to upper-level motion logic. By converting the plant’s three-phase mains into controlled pulses and sending feedback signals to the PLC, the unit enables coordinated, energy-efficient axis control across conveyor, packaging, and assembly equipment.
The controller accepts a supply of 3 x AC 200 to 500 V ±10%, so it can be integrated on low- or medium-voltage utility lines without an external transformer. During acceleration peaks, the inverter can deliver up to 5 A of output current, supporting small-frame IndraDyn motors that require short bursts of torque. Heat generated by the IGBTs is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, avoiding cabinet ducting. Field communication is handled through SERCOS III, giving deterministic real-time telegrams for position, velocity, and diagnostics. The electronics sit behind a housing rated at IP20, so installation inside an electrical enclosure is required to limit dust exposure and accidental contact.
This power stage is paired with a control section of the ECONOMY design and provides the standard functions available in the HCS01 line. Functional safety is provided through the dual-channel signals STO and SBC, allowing immediate torque removal and brake engagement without separate relays. Motor feedback enters on the first encoder port that supports Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2, while the second interface is left vacant to simplify wiring. Power is drawn from a shared DC bus, enabling common-link operation with additional axes. The unit is version 1 and does not include an auxiliary holding interface.
