The Bosch HCS01.1E-W0009-A-02-A-CC-EC-PB-S4-NN-FW is a modular drive controller. It is part of the IndraDrive product line. The controller has slots for several plug in modules. It comes from the factory with several pre-installed modules. A multi-encoder interface allows operators to use the controller with several standard encoders. A communication module with a Profibus interface allows connection to Profibus networks. A safety module enables safe motion support. This module enables a host of safety features that include safe torque off, safe stop, safely limited speed, safe direction and safely limited position. Furthermore, dual-channel safety peripherals can be connected to the drive and made available to the controller via the safety bus. A standard control panel can be used to program and monitor the unit. The standard control panel has a single-line display.
Operators can also order advanced control panels for controller that support them. These control panels support hot plug and have more memory for data and code. The HCS01.1E-W0009-A-02-A-CC-EC-PB-S4-NN-FW cools via convection cooling and dissipates heat inside the cabinet. For this reason operators must either use large cabinets or rely on air-conditioning to keep ambient temperature with permitted limits. The spacing on the top and bottom side of the mounted controller must be at least 90 millimeters. The recommended front side clearance is 10 millimeters.
