Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-L4-NN-FW is an AC drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It is intended to control individual servo or induction motor axes in automated assembly lines, packaging equipment, and material-handling stations. In operation, the unit regulates motor voltage and current so commanded speed, torque, and position can be followed during repetitive machine cycles. By combining power conversion, motion control, safety circuits, and network connectivity in one compact housing, it helps reduce panel space and simplifies machine wiring.
The drive uses the BASIC control section for standard motion functions and belongs to design version 1 within the HCS01 line. Machine controllers connect through MultiEthernet, which supports multiple industrial Ethernet protocols for system integration. Power terminals accept 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10% input, allowing operation on common 230 V or 480 V plant supplies. During transient acceleration, the power stage can deliver up to 18 A of peak current. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, so the controller must be mounted inside a cabinet, and the second feedback interface is not equipped on this version.
Thermal management is provided by internal air cooling from an integrated blower, so no external ducting is required. The power section supports infeeding and fed operation, allowing braking energy to return to a shared DC bus where it can be used by other axes in the system. Rotor position feedback is supported through IndraDyn encoder feedback with Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2, which enables precise speed and position control on demanding motion tasks. Functional safety includes STO and SBC, so torque can be shut off safely and brake control can remain available independently of the main control logic. This arrangement supports compact multi-axis cabinets where energy sharing, accurate feedback, and integrated safety are needed in the same drive platform.
