The Bosch Rexroth HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-A-CC-EC-PB-NN-NN-FW is a digital drive controller. Typical controller applications include handling systems, machine tools, printing machines, food and processing machines. The controller has an IP20 rated enclosure. An IP20 rating means that the equipment provides protection against touch with fingers and against solid objects with a diameter greater than 12.5mm. The equipment is not protected against water or other liquids. Therefore, unless the drive is suitably protected, it should not be used outdoors. The controller dissipates heat inside the control cabinet. Therefore, large cabinets and/or air conditioning are required to maintain ambient temperature within acceptable limits. Width of the controller is 50 millimeters and its height is 215 millimeters. It is designed for vertical mounting. The peak current output is 8 Amps. Power supply on the unit accepts three-phase input at 200 to 500 Volts AC.
The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-A-CC-EC-PB-NN-NN-FW controller is based on an advanced control section. The control section is the controller component that performs all processing-related functions. Other controller components include a power section and the firmware. Firmware for HCS controllers has to be ordered separately from the hardware. Some of the features supported by the controller include SERCOS master communication, multi-encoder interface and Profibus communication. The SERCOS interface on the unit operates as the master that controls the SERCOS network. The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-A-CC-EC-PB-NN-NN-FW is compatible with a standard control panel.
