The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-EP-L3-NN-FW is a drive controller developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It regulates power flow and feedback between a motor and the plant PLC, serving as a compact axis module in material-handling, packaging, and machining cells. The unit combines a power stage and a detachable control card so the machine can be adapted to different axis requirements while keeping wiring layouts and control functions consistent.
The controller is supplied with a BASIC control section, so the embedded processor supports standard positioning functions without optional technology extensions. Its input accepts a three-phase supply of 3 x AC 200 to 500 V ±10%, allowing operation on common 230 V and 400 V industrial power systems. During rapid acceleration or braking, the power stage can deliver a peak current of 5 A, which is available for short-term motor demand. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling with an integrated blower, so no external heat sink or cabinet ducting is required. For controller networking, a Multi-Ethernet port supports PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and EtherCAT, which allows the unit to fit into several common automation networks without a separate communication module.
The housing carries an IP20 rating, so the unit is intended for installation inside a control cabinet. Drive safety is handled by the STO channel, which disables torque through hardware when the emergency circuit opens. Encoder feedback enters through the IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface, providing position data to the control loop for regulated motor operation. DC-link energy is supplied through an upstream converter in an infeeding configuration. The device is part of the HCS01 line and is delivered in design version 1 without additional design features.
