The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-E-S3-EC-NN-NN-NN-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It is intended to regulate synchronous or induction motors in multi-axis equipment such as assembly systems, packaging machines, and material-handling stations. The unit provides closed-loop speed and torque control for connected axes and supports coordinated motion in automated machinery. Because it manages motor current in real time, it can maintain commanded speed and torque when the mechanical load changes during a cycle. This makes it suitable for applications that require repeatable starts, stops, and synchronized axis motion.
The controller accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10%, so it can connect directly to common factory mains. This wide input range reduces the need for a separate transformer when a suitable plant supply is already available. During acceleration, it can deliver up to 18 A of peak current to support short-term torque demand. The enclosure carries an IP20 rating, which means the unit is intended for installation inside a protected cabinet. Heat is removed by internal air cooling with an integrated blower, and adequate cabinet airflow is required for stable operation. Motion commands and diagnostic data are exchanged over SERCOS III, allowing synchronized communication between multiple axes.
The drive uses an ECONOMY control section and supports primary feedback through IndraDyn Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoders. This feedback interface allows the controller to read motor position data directly for commutation and axis control. The design revision is 1, which keeps the electrical and mechanical arrangement consistent for this version of the controller. Its power topology is infeeding and fed, allowing the unit to draw energy from or supply energy to a shared DC bus. A second communication interface is not equipped, and the safety interface is also omitted. The blank secondary interface leaves the front of the unit with fewer active connection points.
