Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-B-ET-NN-NN-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. The unit combines power processing and control logic to regulate synchronous or induction motors in automated machinery, adjusting speed and torque according to motion commands received over industrial networks. By combining the power section with a matching control section, it provides the interface between plant-level motion commands and the electrical energy delivered to motor windings, supporting coordinated axis operation in multi-drive systems.
Communication with upper-level PLCs is handled through MultiEthernet, allowing access through several Ethernet-based protocols without extra option cards. The control section is the BASIC variant, which provides core positioning functions while leaving advanced safety and encoder evaluation ports unequipped. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so cabinet air is circulated through the heat sink and expelled without external ducting. The power stage accepts an input supply of 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10%, covering common 230 V and 400 V three-phase grids. During transient acceleration or braking events, the inverter can deliver up to 28 A of peak output current to the connected motor.
The housing carries an IP20 rating, so the controller must be installed in a closed electrical cabinet to prevent contact with live parts. Within the modular HCS01 line, this device draws DC power from a common bus and can operate in infeeding or fed operation, which supports regenerative energy sharing between axes. The unit is design version 1. Unused Interface 2 and safety ports are not equipped, which helps keep the wiring layout simple for applications that do not require those connections.
