Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-ET-EC-NN-NN-NN-FW is a servo drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Within an automation cell, the unit forms the interface between the plant PLC and a connected motor, executing speed, torque, and position commands in real time. In this role, it converts high-level motion requests into regulated motor current so the axis can follow commanded profiles with stable response. Its HCS01 design supports decentralized cabinet layouts where multiple axes share common DC links while retaining individual regulation, making the device suitable for assembly stations, handling modules, and packaging machinery.
The controller accepts a mains input of 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10%, allowing operation on three-phase supplies without rewiring. During acceleration or braking, the power stage can deliver up to 54 A of peak current, giving added headroom for short dynamic moves on compact mechanical axes. Fieldbus communication is routed through the MultiEthernet port, which can switch between Sercos, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or TCP/IP topologies so the same unit can communicate across different industrial Ethernet systems. Thermal stability is maintained by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, and the IP20 housing is intended for clean cabinet environments with finger-safe clearances around live parts.
The drive uses hardware revision 1, which indicates the mechanical footprint used across this product line. Its feedback interface accepts IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder signals for high-resolution position loops. Power is exchanged with the DC bus through an infeeding and fed topology, enabling energy sharing and regenerative braking when several drives operate together on the same bus. The control section is marked BASIC, and no second interface or safety channel is installed, so Interface 2 and the safety connection are left open.
