Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-A-CC-EC-NN-L3-NN-FW as part of the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. This compact rack-mount module acts as the central power and control element for a single motor axis, converting low-voltage command words into high-frequency, pulse-width-modulated output for precision speed, torque, and position loops. Used in packaging lines, printing presses, and assembly stations, the controller links mechanical motion with upper-level automation software, enabling coordinated equipment cycles and energy recovery on a common DC bus. Its single-axis layout also suits machines that need compact installation with dedicated motion control for one driven axis.
The control section installed in this drive is the ADVANCED variant used in this product line, giving the device extended motion functions and parameter memory. Command traffic moves over a SERCOS III master channel with cross-communication so multiple axes can exchange real-time data without a separate fieldbus. An integrated blower provides air cooling inside the housing, removing heat from the power stage. The drive can supply up to 18 A of peak current to a connected motor during acceleration or dynamic braking, and it operates from a three-phase input of 3 × AC 110…230 V ±10 %. These electrical limits set the operating range for the connected motor and supply stage.
The housing carries an IP20 ingress rating, so it must be mounted in a closed cabinet with clean air circulation. Functional safety is addressed through the integrated STO circuit, allowing torque to be safely removed without cutting the mains. Encoder feedback enters on an IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 port, while the second feedback socket is left empty to keep the design compact. The DC bus uses an Infeeding / Feeded power supply topology that shares regenerated energy across the drive group. The unit is version 1 hardware and uses the standard configuration for this drive type.
