Internal Product Review
The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-L3-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller with MultiEthernet communication and a BASIC control section. Internal air cooling through an integrated blower and STO support make the controller a strong fit for well-managed industrial cabinets. Operation on 3 x AC 200 to 500 V ±10% stands out as a valuable advantage for flexible drive integration.

Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-L3-NN-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It serves as the power and regulation stage that links servo motors to a plant motion system, converting commands from higher-level control into precise output current for automated axes. This arrangement allows the drive to support repeatable positioning and stable speed regulation in coordinated motion tasks. In assembly cells, packaging lines, or light-duty pick-and-place stations, the unit supplies synchronized three-phase output while remaining compact enough for standard control cabinets.
Incoming power can range from 200 to 500 V AC on a three-phase mains supply, so the same hardware can operate on common 230 V or 400 V plant systems. The inverter section delivers a peak current of 5 A, which suits small actuators that do not need high continuous current. Cooling is handled by integrated blower cooling, and the housing has an IP20 enclosure rating for cabinet installation. All cyclic commands and diagnostics pass through the controller’s MultiEthernet interface, and a built-in STO circuit removes torque when the safety loop is opened. The communication platform can be set by software for SERCOS III, EtherNet/IP, or PROFINET to match the surrounding control architecture. The power section also supports shared DC-bus operation so multiple drives can exchange regenerative energy.
The logic section uses the BASIC control variant, is listed as design version 1, and is supplied already matched to the HCS01 power base. Position feedback from synchronous or induction motors is received through the IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat encoder interface, while auxiliary networking or I/O expansion uses CANopen. This combination supports motor feedback handling and peripheral communication without adding unnecessary hardware. It also keeps the controller suitable for compact multi-axis installations where cabinet space and connection density matter.
