The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-L3-NN-NW is a compact drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It converts three-phase plant power into regulated motor current and exchanges position data with higher-level PLCs, allowing coordinated control of servo and induction motors in automated equipment. The unit is intended for installation inside an electrical cabinet, where it can support packaging lines, handling stations, and other general-purpose motion tasks. By regulating current at the drive level, it supports repeatable speed and position behavior during frequent starts, stops, and direction changes. Its compact format suits machines that need closed-loop drive control without a large cabinet footprint.
The power section accepts 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10% from the mains and can deliver a peak output of 8 A, which supports short acceleration periods and temporary load changes. Thermal dissipation is handled by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so heat is moved through the housing without external ducting. The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating, which means the controller must be mounted in a cabinet rather than exposed directly on the machine. Motion commands and diagnostic data pass through the Multi-Ethernet communication interface, allowing the drive to connect to compatible Industrial Ethernet networks.
This controller uses a BASIC control section in the HCS01 line, and the drive and control sections share a common internal DC bus in an infeed/feed configuration. Interface 1 is equipped with an IndraDyn encoder interface for Hiperface and EnDat 2.1/2.2, so absolute motor feedback can be processed without an external adapter. Interface 2 is left unpopulated, which reduces unused hardware on applications that need only one encoder connection. Safe stop functionality is provided by STO (Safe Torque Off) hardware inputs that disable gate pulses to the IGBTs when the stop circuit is activated. This arrangement supports feedback-based motor operation while keeping the hardware layout simple for single-axis cabinet installations.
