Product Description:
The Bosch HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-L3-NN-NW is a HCS series drive controller. Its product series is 1, and the design designation is 1. The HCS series from Bosch cools via forced-air cooling: the cool air is taken in via an inlet on the bottom side of the controller, and a cooling fan forces the air over the heated controller components. The outlet for the heated air is at the top side. The permitted ambient temperature for HCS controllers is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. Bosch allows use of HCS controllers with output derating at ambient temperatures from 40 to 55 degrees Celsius. Bosch does not permit use of HCS controllers at ambient temperatures over 55 degrees Celsius. Rated current output of the controller is 8 Amps. Its power section is designed for AC input. The operating voltage range is 200 to 500 Volts AC.
The controller enclosure belongs to IP20 protection class. Bosch has designed HCS controllers for cabinet mounting. The recommended mounting orientation is vertical. If space is available Bosch recommends attaching the controller back side to the mounting surface. There are braking resistors at the back of the HCS devices, which can become very hot during operation. Therefore there is a serious risk of damage by high temperatures. When arranging the devices in the control cabinet, operators should make sure there are no heat-sensitive materials close to the braking resistors. Communication interface on the HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-L3-NN-NW is Multi-Ethernet. The controller features one integrated multi-encoder interface that works with several Bosch motor encoders. A safety module with safe torque off support is also installed. Approximate dimensions of the controller are 215 x 196 x 50 millimeters and its weight is approximately 1.3 kilograms.
