This controller communicates with the plant network through MultiEthernet, allowing direct integration into EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT topologies without extra hardware. A peak output of 13 A supports short bursts of acceleration or holding torque when paired motors require higher current for brief operating periods. The unit is supplied in Design version 1 and provides two identical feedback ports that read motor position through the IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 protocol families for absolute encoder data. It is intended to be combined with a BASIC control section, so the application logic and motion control functions reside on the detachable control section rather than on the power unit itself. The power section supports infeeding and feeding, which allows regenerated energy to return to the DC bus or lets the unit draw power from a shared supply, depending on the system layout. A safety interface is not equipped, so external safety circuitry must interrupt mains power when required.
