The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-NN-AA-FW is a digital drive controller from Bosch Rexroth that is designed for industrial applications. It is part of the IndraDrive Cs product line. The controller works with a standard control panel which includes a single-line display and 4-button keypad. The control panel must have been plugged in when the drive controller is switched on so that it can be recognized. The control panel can be used as a programming module. The control panel has 650 KB memory for the MLD boot program and 492 bytes memory for the MLD variables. An advanced control panel with more memory and features is also available for the HCS controllers. The controller firmware has to be ordered separately from the hardware. Hardware features available on the HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-NN-AA-FW include a multi-encoder interface and Multi-Ethernet communication. The controller two additional slots for two plug in modules.
One of these slots (slot 3) can accommodate a safety module. Slot 2 on the HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-NN-AA-FW can accommodate one of the following modules: CANopen, digital/analog I/O extension, encoder emulation, multi-encoder interface, engineering port, and Multi-Ethernet. The controller delivers maximum 5 Amps output. The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-NN-AA-FW is designed for connection to 3-phase AC mains. The range of input voltages supported by the controller is 200 to 500 Volts AC. The working temperature range recommended by Bosch is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The controller performance derates outside this temperature range. As the controller dissipates heat inside the cabinet, either large cabinets or air conditioning are required for maintenance of ambient temperature. The IP20 rated controller housing is designed for vertical mounting. Bosch recommends mounting the HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-NN-AA-FW by attached the rear side of the controller to the mounting surface.
