Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-B-ET-EC-EP-L3-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Positioned within the HCS01 line, it interfaces between IndraDrive power modules and synchronous or induction motors, executing torque, speed, and position loops in automated cells, conveyors, and processing stations. By converting motion commands from a PLC or CNC into precisely timed voltage and current waveforms, it supports deterministic axis control while integrating safety and real-time fieldbus communication for coordinated multi-axis production.
The controller accepts a three-phase mains supply of 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10%, allowing one hardware range to cover common low- and medium-voltage plants. It can supply up to 54 A of peak output current for short acceleration bursts before returning to continuous limits. Network integration is handled through the MultiEthernet port, permitting protocol selection in software rather than through option cards. The housing carries an IP20 rating, so the unit is intended for cabinet mounting. Functional safety is provided by STO (Safe Torque Off), which disables motor torque when a monitored stop is commanded.
Feedback enters on the Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 interface, which supports compatible motor feedback devices on the control section. This unit uses the BASIC design configuration, so higher-level technology functions are not included. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which keeps heat removal within the drive housing and supports compact cabinet layouts. The power stage supports infeeding and fed operation, so it can return regenerated energy to the DC link or draw power from it, depending on system topology. The control section uses version 1 hardware and has no additional design features.
