The HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-A-CC-EC-EM-L3-NN-FW belongs to the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. This compact HCS drive controller integrates power conversion and motion logic for small-axis automation, supplying regulated energy to synchronous or asynchronous servo motors while exchanging real-time data with higher-level PLCs. It is intended for cabinet installation where multi-axis coordination, energy recovery, and certified safety functions are required, especially where panel space is limited.
The unit communicates over a SERCOS III master link that also supports cross-communication between drives, reducing fieldbus traffic in distributed systems. Its control section is the ADVANCED variant, so the logic module can execute drive-integrated positioning, camming, and additional safety diagnostics without external hardware. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no ducted airflow is needed inside the enclosure. The device can deliver up to 3 A of peak current, which is suitable for low-power axes such as feeders or small pick-and-place stations. The housing has an IP20 rating that protects against accidental finger contact and limits dust ingress, so the controller must be mounted in a closed control cabinet. Design version 1 and the HCS01 line support dimensional compatibility with matching supply modules, and the infeeding and fed power topology allows energy sharing on a DC bus.
Interface 1 accepts IndraDyn Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder feedback, while Interface 2 provides encoder emulation for legacy controls that still expect a simulated feedback signal. The mains input spans 3 × AC 110–230 V ±10%, letting the same model operate worldwide on three-phase utility networks. Motion disable is handled internally through a STO channel that disconnects torque without powering down the drive, supporting Category 0 stops. This arrangement allows the axis to be brought to a safe state while control electronics remain available for diagnostics and system recovery.
