The Bosch HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-A-CC-EC-EM-L3-NN-FW is a digital drive controller. It is comprised of three components: a control section, a power section and a control panel. The controller firmware is ordered separately. The control section performs all the processing functions. The power section provides power for the control section and the optional plug in modules. Operators can use the control panel to monitor and program the controller. The control section on the HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-A-CC-EC-EM-L3-NN-FW has four slots for plug in modules: three are occupied and one is vacant. Slot 1 on the control section features a multi-encoder interface module. Slot 2 on the control section features an encoder emulation module. Slot 3 on the control section features a safety module that supports safe torque off (STO). STO is a feature that prevents unexpected motor shaft rotation.
Each HSC series controller features an integrated communication module. The integrated communication module on the HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-A-CC-EC-EM-L3-NN-FW supports SERCOS.
