Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-A-ET-EC-NN-NN-NN-FW as part of the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It is a design version 1 modular drive controller. The unit conditions line power, executes current loops, and exchanges feedback data so that servo or induction motors follow setpoints in packaging cells, material-handling stations, and general factory automation.
The controller connects to higher-level PLCs through the MultiEthernet interface, allowing a single hardware port to support EtherCAT, PROFINET, Ethernet/IP, and Sercos over TCP when the selected protocol is enabled. It accepts a three-phase supply of 3 x AC 200…500 V ±10%, letting one hardware version serve both low- and medium-voltage installations. Internal power devices can deliver a device peak output current of 5 A, giving enough headroom for small axis motors during acceleration surges. Heat is expelled by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no external cooling plate is needed inside the cabinet. Motor position is processed through the single-cable feedback connector that supports IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoders, enabling absolute position capture at power-on.
Cabinet integration is simplified by an IP20 housing that protects against accidental finger contact while remaining compact for DIN-rail mounting. The integrated power electronics are marked for infeeding and fed operation, indicating that the converter can operate on a common DC bus either as an energy source or as a passive consumer without additional modules. Software is not factory flashed, and firmware must be ordered separately. For complete axis functionality, the drive is paired with control section design BASIC (B), which supplies the motion logic and digital I/O that are not present on the power section itself.
