Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-A-ET-EC-EM-L4-NN-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. As an axis inverter, it modulates AC mains power for servo and spindle motors and exchanges state data with motion-control PLCs in automated lines, presses, and packaging cells. By integrating power electronics, encoder processing, and safety logic into one unit, the controller coordinates torque and velocity loops so that mechanical axes follow commanded profiles with consistent accuracy during speed control and positioning tasks.
The controller connects to upper-level networks through MultiEthernet, allowing selection of EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, EtherCAT, or SERCOS III without hardware changes to the communication interface. A device peak output of 28 A supports short-term acceleration forces, and the wide input window of 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10% lets the same model run on global plant voltages. Protection is limited to IP20, so the unit must be mounted inside a cabinet. Integrated functional safety provides STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control) channels that disconnect power and engage a motor brake when an emergency circuit trips, eliminating the need for external safety contactors.
Heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which directs cabinet air across the heat sink without external ducts. Feedback wiring uses an IndraDyn Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder input for absolute position data, and a second port supplies encoder emulation signals to legacy drives. The power section is specified as infeeding or fed operation, so it can share a common DC bus or receive energy from a supply module. The design is version 1 under the HCS01 line and pairs with a basic control section for standard axis functions.
