Product Description:
The HCS03.1E-W0100-A-05-LNBN is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. The device functions as the power and control interface between the plant's three-phase supply and servo or induction motors, providing closed-loop regulation for positioning, velocity, and torque tasks in automated handling, packaging, and process equipment. By converting line power into a precisely modulated output, the controller supports coordinated multi-axis motion and returns operating data to higher-level PLCs. It also manages motor current and voltage during changing load conditions to help keep axis response stable.
Its electronic stage can deliver a peak output of 100 A, allowing short-term acceleration currents without derating. The input section accepts 3 × AC 400…500 V (+10 %, -15 %), so it can be wired to common European and North American industrial mains without an isolation transformer. Continuous mechanical load coverage spans 15 to 75 kW, giving a broad application range for pumps, extruders, or gantry axes. Thermal losses are removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, eliminating the need for external ducting. An IP20 housing shields live parts from incidental finger contact and supports installation in ventilated control enclosures. The power section is suited to cabinet-based layouts where guarded access and directed airflow are already part of the control design.
The controller ships as an infeeding/fed power module, so it can operate either as the rectifier section that returns regenerated energy to the DC link or as a passive consumer on a common bus. The unit is design version 1. The family code HCS03 matches the mechanical dimensions and connector arrangement used by other third-generation units. The voltage code 05 corresponds to the internal spacing used for the stated supply range. This operating mode supports shared DC-bus systems in which multiple axes exchange regenerated energy during braking and acceleration.
