Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-A-CC-EC-EC-L4-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Within the HCS01 line, this unit is supplied in design version 1 and is intended for compact machinery with servo-controlled axes. It converts three-phase mains energy into regulated output current while exchanging motion commands with higher-level automation. This supports precise velocity, torque, and position control in industrial handling, packaging, and process equipment.
For real-time coordination with neighboring drives, the controller uses a SERCOS III master interface that supports cross-communication at cycle times suitable for multi-axis interpolation. The power stage is paired with a control section designated A, which is classified as ADVANCED and provides extended processing for drive-based functions such as electronic gearing and camming. Electrical input is accepted from 3 × AC 110–230 V ±10%, and an active rectifier conditions this supply for the intermediate circuit. The device can handle peak current up to 3 A before current limiting protects the semiconductors. Heat generated by switching losses is removed through internal air cooling with an integrated blower, so no external ducting is required.
Installation inside a control cabinet is required because the housing has an IP20 protection rating. Two feedback channels accept IndraDyn Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder signals, allowing high-resolution position acquisition for both primary and auxiliary axes. Drive-integrated functional safety is provided by STO and SBC, allowing the machine to interrupt torque and control a motor brake through certified circuitry. The power stage supports infeeding/fed operation, so surplus energy can be shared or regenerated across a common DC bus when several converters are linked.
