The Bosch Rexroth HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-EP-DA-NN-FW is a digital drive controller. It has a modular design that allows flexibility in the choice of optional hardware modules. In addition to hardware, operators can also order firmware that is optimized for their requirements. Optional hardware modules installed on the HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-EP-DA-NN-FW include an engineering port module and digital/analog I/O extension module. Power consumption of the basic control section is 17.3 Watts. The integrated multi-encoder interface consumes 1.1 Watts. The integrated Multi-Ethernet port consumes 2.7 Watts. The I/O extension module on the HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-EP-DA-NN-FW consumes 0.6 Watts. Therefore the total power consumption of the drive controller is 21.7 Watts. With the four-button keypad operators can have extended diagnoses displayed and trigger simple commands. Controller firmware is not supplied with the hardware and must be ordered as a separate item. The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-EP-DA-NN-FW is a convection cooled device. The inlet for the cool air is located at the bottom of the unit. The outlet for the heated air is located at the top of the unit. Operators must use large cabinets to ensure appropriate inter-device spacing. Alternately, operators can use air-conditioning to keep ambient temperature within prescribed limits. Protection rating of the controller housing is IP20.
