The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-A-CC-EC-EC-L3-NN-FW is a compact drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and included in the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It belongs to the HCS01 line and, when paired with a compatible motor, regulates speed and torque in factory automation cells, conveyors, and handling modules. By combining power conversion, control logic, and communication in one housing, the unit helps reduce cabinet space while supporting coordinated multi-axis motion. This arrangement is useful in systems where several axes must respond quickly to changing commands without requiring a large control cabinet.
The power section accepts a three-phase input of 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10%, so the controller can operate from a wide industrial mains range without a separate transformer. Heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which keeps airflow inside the unit and avoids the need for external ducting. The controller can deliver up to 18 A of peak current to the connected motor, which helps during acceleration and short load changes. Its enclosure carries an IP20 rating, so it must be installed inside a cabinet to prevent accidental contact. Communication with higher-level control systems is handled through SERCOS III master with cross communication, allowing real-time data exchange between multiple axes.
The control section uses the ADVANCED design type in version 1, supporting extended motion functions within the paired drive platform. Feedback connections support IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interfaces, allowing the drive to process absolute position data for closed-loop control. The integrated safety function is STO (Safe Torque Off), which removes torque-producing energy from the motor when the safety circuit is activated. Power exchange with the DC bus uses an infeeding and fed operation topology, so the unit can supply energy to the bus or absorb returned energy during braking. It also supports applications that need precise position information at startup and controlled stopping during safety events.
