Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-A-CC-EC-DA-NN-NN-FW drive controller is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It is part of the HCS01 line. The unit serves as the central power and control interface between the plant mains and servo or induction motors in automated cells, providing regulated torque, speed, and position control in machining, packaging, and material-handling equipment. This arrangement allows the controller to handle motor power delivery and closed-loop motion control within one compact platform.
This unit carries an IP20 rating, so it is intended for installation inside a control cabinet. The controller can deliver a peak current of 18 A, which supports short overloads during acceleration or rapid indexing. Its input section accepts 3 x AC 110 to 230 V ±10% three-phase power for low-voltage industrial supply systems. Motion commands and real-time diagnostics are exchanged through a SERCOS III master with cross communication interface, allowing synchronized data exchange with connected drives. For motor feedback, Interface 1 supports IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder feedback, which allows high-resolution position acquisition from compatible motors. This combination of power input, network communication, and feedback support makes the unit suitable for coordinated axis control as well as general motor regulation tasks.
Thermal management uses internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which moves cabinet air through the heat sink without external ducting. The control section is the ADVANCED type, which supports extended PLC and technology functions within the drive platform. DC bus energy is handled through infeeding or fed operation, supporting common DC bus layouts in multi-drive systems. The safety interface is not equipped, so no safety relay or STO terminals are provided on this version. Design version 1 is used for this controller, and the layout remains focused on the listed control, power, and communication functions.
