Created to control electric motors and monitor their operations, the drive converters of the HCS series by Bosch Rexroth are built with high performance specifications. They are components of the future-proof Rexroth IndraDrive drive system and are suitable for general automation and machine tools.
The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-B-ET-EC-EM-S4-NN-FW is a drive converter model in the HCS series by Bosch Rexroth. Its operation requires a three-phase AC mains voltage between 200V and 500V with ±10% tolerance. With its Multi-Ethernet module, the drive converter is compatible with different Ethernet field bus systems, including PROFINET IO, sercos III EtherCAT, and EtherNet/IP. It is also equipped with an encoder emulation interface for emulating absolute value and incremental encoder signals for further evaluation by a control unit. The signals are galvanically isolated from the circuit board. According to the EN 60529 guidelines, its Ingress Protection rating is IP 20, meaning that it cannot be penetrated by solid extrinsic objects over 12mm in diameter.
4kHz, 8kHz, 12kHz, and 16kHz are the allowed switching frequencies for the operation of the HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-B-ET-EC-EM-S4-NN-FW. It accommodates a maximum current of 28A and supports control sections in the BASIC range. Its multi-encoder interface is suitable for common encoder types such as the MSM motor encoder, the MS2N motor encoder, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track. Like other HCS drive converters, it is compact; hence, its installation within a control cabinet is hitch-free. Its cooling takes place within this control cabinet via forced air ventilation. Ideally, it should be operated at an ambient temperature between 0oC and 40oC.
