Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-A-ET-EC-NN-L3-NN-FW drive controller is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Belonging to the HCS01 line and delivered in design version 1, the device forms the power stage that links a multi-voltage industrial power supply to servo or induction motors used in automated machinery. Its role is to convert incoming three-phase energy into a controlled pulse-width-modulated output so that individual motion axes receive precise torque and speed profiles during production cycles.
The controller accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10 %, allowing installation on low- or medium-voltage distribution networks. During rapid acceleration, the power stage can deliver a peak output of 8 A, a current capacity suited to small feeders, pick-and-place arms, or auxiliary conveyors. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no external heat sink or cabinet fan is required. Networked control is achieved through the onboard MultiEthernet interface, which supports several real-time fieldbuses without additional option cards. Protection against finger contact and settled dust is provided by the IP20 enclosure rating, so cabinet installation is required while internal wiring remains accessible.
For feedback, the power section offers an IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder input, ensuring that high-resolution absolute position data reaches the drive. A second feedback channel is not equipped, which reduces hardware complexity. Functional safety is provided by the integrated STO (Safe Torque Off) circuit, which removes drive energy without mechanical relays. DC-link energy is exchanged through an infeeding and feeding power supply design, enabling operation on a common bus with regenerative axes. Application software is not embedded at delivery, so firmware must be ordered separately. The unit is used with BASIC control sections.
