Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-A-CC-EC-NN-L3-NN-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. In multi-axis automation cells, this unit provides closed-loop regulation and parameter management for IndraDyn servo and spindle motors while linking motion tasks to a higher-level PLC through a deterministic real-time network. This arrangement allows the drive to coordinate motor current, speed, and torque in automated handling, packaging, and machining systems. By integrating power and control electronics in a compact housing, it serves as the core of cabinet-mounted axis modules where precise motion commands are required.
The controller communicates over a SERCOS III master (cross communication) bus, allowing synchronous data exchange among drives and central control. It accepts a mains supply of 3 x AC 110…230 V ±10%, so it can be connected to low-voltage three-phase utility grids without an external transformer. During short accelerations, the power section delivers up to 13 A of peak current, giving headroom for transient load demands. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, and an enclosure rating of IP20 limits finger ingress while requiring installation inside a protected electrical cabinet. Because the unit uses internal airflow, cabinet layout should leave clear air paths around the heat-generating sections. The drive is design version 1, and the secondary interface bay is not equipped, so the unit uses a single encoder channel.
The control section is the ADVANCED variant, paired to the power unit at the factory so extended servo functions are available without additional cards. Integrated functional safety is provided by STO (Safe Torque Off), which removes drive energy when the safety circuit trips. Position feedback is accepted through an IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface, enabling high-resolution motor commutation. The supply stage can operate in infeeding or fed mode, supporting common DC bus configurations. This combination supports accurate feedback processing together with rapid torque shutdown during coordinated motion.
