The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-EC-L3-NN-FW is a single-axis drive controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It belongs to the HCS01 line and combines power electronics with motion control for conveyors, packaging cells, and assembly tools that use low-power servo or induction motors. By placing control, diagnostics, and communication functions in one 65 mm-wide housing, the unit helps conserve cabinet space while still delivering closed-loop torque and speed regulation. It is designed for single-axis applications where accurate current control is needed for repeatable machine motion.
Electrical communication with higher-level PLCs occurs through a MultiEthernet port that supports Profinet, EtherNet/IP, Sercos III, and EtherCAT without add-on cards. The drive uses the BASIC control section, which is suited to standard single-axis motion tasks and routine operating functions. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling driven by an integrated blower, so cabinet air moves across the heat sink to carry away losses during operation. The power stage can deliver up to 8 A peak during dynamic moves, and it operates from 200–500 V AC three-phase mains with a tolerance of ±10%. This lets the same hardware fit automation systems that use different industrial Ethernet standards.
The housing has an IP20 rating, so the controller is intended for installation inside a switchgear cabinet while still providing touch-safe protection after wiring. Functional safety is provided by the dual-channel STO circuit, which removes torque without using mechanical relays. Both feedback ports accept Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder signals, so either channel can work with the same supported feedback formats. Using the same signal support on both inputs keeps wiring options flexible when matching the drive to compatible motor feedback devices. DC-bus energy is exchanged through an infeeding and fed topology, allowing multiple drives to share one supply module and transfer energy across a common bus.
