The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-E-S3-EC-NN-L3-NN-PW is a compact drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Installed between the plant mains and a servomotor, it conditions three-phase power, executes closed-loop regulation, and exchanges motion commands with a higher-level PLC. Its role is to provide accurate torque, speed, and position control for single-axis equipment such as pick-and-place modules, conveyors, and light packaging stations. Because power conversion and regulation are combined in one housing, the unit fits cabinets where axis performance is important but available space is limited.
The unit connects to the controller network over SERCOS III, which supports deterministic cycle-by-cycle position updates. The power stage accepts 3 x AC 200…500 V ±10%, allowing direct connection to a wide range of industrial utility systems and making the drive suitable for facilities with different nominal line voltages. Heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no external heat sink is required, and the airflow is managed inside the housing. During acceleration or brief load spikes, the inverter can supply a peak output of 5 A. Functional safety is handled by STO (Safe Torque Off), which disables the output stage without mechanical relays.
The control section is ECONOMY, so the available parameter set is limited to essential functions. Feedback is accepted through a single connector for IndraDyn Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder feedback, and the secondary interface is omitted to keep wiring simple. The housing has an IP20 ingress rating intended for clean control cabinets, so the unit is meant for enclosed installation rather than exposed mounting. Energy exchange with neighboring axes is enabled by infeeding and fed DC-bus operation, which allows compatible drives on the same DC bus to share returned energy during operation.
