The HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-A-CC-EC-ET-L4-NN-FW is a compact drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It links the plant supply network to a synchronous or induction servo axis, converts incoming AC power, and delivers regulated motor current for speed and position control in automated assembly lines, pick-and-place stations, packaging equipment, and other coordinated machines. It also receives motion commands from a higher-level controller and translates them into motor output that matches programmed acceleration, velocity, and positioning demands. By combining control and power electronics in one housing, the unit reduces panel wiring and supports closed-loop motion tasks that require repeatable response under changing load conditions.

To communicate with higher-level PLCs, the controller provides a SERCOS III master channel that also supports cross-communication among drives on the network. Power is processed from a 3 x AC 110–230 V ±10% mains supply, and the integrated inverter can deliver up to 6 A of peak current to the connected motor during dynamic operation. Heat is removed by internal air cooling with a built-in blower, so no external ducting is required, and the electronics are enclosed to IP20 for installation inside a protected control cabinet. Because the cooling is internal, the cabinet only needs to provide normal clearance and airflow around the housing.

The control section installed in this unit is the ADVANCED variant, which supports more capable motion control functions within the HCS01 platform. A feedback plug accepts IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1 or 2.2 encoder signals, while a separate MultiEthernet port allows the controller to work with different Ethernet-based automation networks. For safety-related stopping functions, the integrated STO and SBC interface can remove torque and control the brake circuit through the drive. The power section uses an Infeeding / Feeded topology, allowing energy exchange with a common DC bus in multi-axis systems. This arrangement is useful when one axis is decelerating while another axis is accelerating on the same machine.
