Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-PB-NN-NN-NW drive controller is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It serves as the power stage of a single-axis system, converting the incoming AC supply into controlled DC-link energy and pulse-width-modulated output for servo or induction motors. By supporting closed-loop speed and torque control, the unit helps machines perform precise positioning, tension regulation, and coordinated motion in conveyors, pick-and-place gantries, and compact packaging equipment.
The power section operates from 3 x AC 200 to 500 V ±10% and can deliver a peak output of 18 A, providing current headroom for short acceleration demands. Its control board carries the BASIC code, which provides standard positioning functions without extended technology options. Command and diagnostic data are exchanged through the integrated MultiEthernet interface, allowing communication over EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT networks. Encoder feedback is accepted through a single connector that supports IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1 or 2.2 protocols, which simplifies motor wiring. Cooling is handled by an internal blower that moves cabinet air across the heat sink, and the enclosure has an IP20 protection rating.
Hardware release 1 identifies this variant within the HCS01 line. For legacy machine controls, cyclic process data can also be exchanged through the built-in PROFIBUS port, allowing fieldbus communication alongside Ethernet connectivity. The power module is specified as infeeding and fed, so regenerated energy from braking axes can be returned to the shared DC link instead of being dissipated as heat. No functional safety interface is populated, so external safety hardware must interrupt the enable line when required. The power module is intended to remain connected to its dedicated control board.
