Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-A-ET-EC-EM-S5-NN-FW is a compact HCS drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. As a drive controller, it regulates servo or induction motors in automated machinery by processing feedback, commanding torque, and protecting the power stage during normal motion and load changes. In multi-axis systems, it occupies the power-section position and communicates with the associated control section, providing the closed-loop link between higher-level PLC instructions and the motor response at the machine axis.
The unit operates from a three-phase supply rated at 3 x AC 110…230 V ±10%, allowing it to share low-voltage cabinet rails used by small auxiliaries. During acceleration or braking events, the power section can deliver up to 13 A of peak output current, so it suits motors used on light to medium loads in compact handling or indexing tasks. Heat produced by the IGBT bridge is removed by internal blower cooling, enabling vertical mounting without additional ducting. For plant networking, the controller exposes a MultiEthernet interface that accepts EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT telegrams. Its plastic housing carries an IP20 rating, so the unit is intended for installation inside enclosed cabinets with protected operator access.
The unit is Design Version 1. Position feedback is accepted over the integrated Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 port, while a second channel provides encoder emulation signals for legacy drives or scope diagnostics when signal mirroring is needed. The internal supply section supports infeeding and fed operation, allowing regenerated energy to return to a shared DC bus instead of being dissipated through braking resistors. When paired with a BASIC (B) control section, the controller uses the intended electrical combination for this compact drive platform and maintains a small overall footprint for dense machine layouts.
