Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-A-CC-EC-PB-S4-NN-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It serves as the regulated power interface between a three-phase mains supply and IndraDyn servo motors, managing speed, torque, and position loops in automated assembly lines, packaging stations, and material-handling cells. By integrating power electronics, axis control, and fieldbus communication into one compact unit, the controller streamlines cabinet layouts and reduces wiring for multi-axis machinery. This arrangement allows the controller to generate motor current and process closed-loop motion control functions inside the same housing.
The unit accepts a three-phase supply of 3 x AC 200…500 V ±10% and can deliver up to 18 A of device peak current to a connected motor. Thermal energy is removed by internal blower cooling, eliminating the need for external fans. The housing carries an IP20 rating, so the unit is intended for installation inside a protected control cabinet. Axis timing and parameter data are exchanged through SERCOS III master cross communication, which allows several controllers on the same system to synchronize motion without an added gateway. The compact enclosure helps fit the drive into dense cabinet layouts where multiple axes share limited panel space.
Control logic is supplied by the ADVANCED section, which is factory matched to the power stage. Motor feedback enters through the IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 interface, while plant-level commands travel over PROFIBUS. The power module follows an infeeding and fed topology, so regenerated energy can be shared across the DC bus when several axes decelerate at the same time. This combination allows the controller to receive network commands from the machine control while also processing feedback from compatible motor encoders. Shared DC-bus operation can also reduce the amount of braking energy that must be dissipated locally during coordinated motion.
