Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-L4-NN-FW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and delivered within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. As an HCS drive controller, it conditions mains power, monitors feedback, and issues torque commands to motors used in automated assembly cells, packaging lines, and material-handling stations. The compact HCS01 line allows multiple axes to be grouped in a shared enclosure while the controller enforces current limits and fieldbus communication for coordinated motion. This arrangement supports dense cabinet layouts where several servo axes must operate from one control platform.
The unit accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10%, covering common plant voltages without external transformers. The power stage can deliver a peak of 8 A, so the connected motor must stay within that transient current range. An enclosure rating of IP20 provides finger protection and requires installation inside a closed cabinet. Heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no additional ducting is required. The attached control section is classified as BASIC, and this power module uses Hardware Design Version 1. Firmware is not preloaded and must be ordered separately.
Motion commands and diagnostics travel over MultiEthernet, enabling EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT through a single port. Position feedback arrives through the dedicated IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface, while the second encoder slot is intentionally left empty. The DC link uses an infeeding/fed configuration that allows several converters to share one rectifier and braking resistor. Functional safety is handled through STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control), which support immediate torque removal and controlled brake release. Leaving the second encoder channel empty reduces connector complexity and saves installation space.
