The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-A-CC-EC-EM-NN-NN-FW is a compact motion-control unit produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Working as the central regulating element inside multi-axis machinery, it coordinates power flow between the supply network and connected servo drives so that speed, torque, and position commands from the automation system are carried out accurately. The controller serves in conveyors, packaging stations, and pick-and-place cells where coordinated axis behavior and stable closed-loop control are required.
The device accepts a three-phase supply of 3 x AC 200–500 V with a tolerance of ±10%, allowing it to operate on common industrial power systems. During fast acceleration, it can deliver a peak output of 18 A, which sets the upper current level for the connected axis. The housing is rated IP20, so it is finger-safe but must be installed inside a control cabinet. Heat is removed by an internal air blower, which eliminates the need for external ducting. Communication is handled through a SERCOS III master channel that also supports cross-communication between drives. The unit is design version 1, carries the HCS01 line identifier, and does not include a dedicated safety interface.
On the control side, the unit uses an ADVANCED control section for expanded motion functions and diagnostics. Motor feedback is processed through an IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 interface, while a second port provides encoder emulation signals for external monitoring of shaft position. The power section supports infeeding and fed operation, so returned kinetic energy can be sent back to the DC bus instead of being dissipated in brake resistors.
