The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-A-CC-EC-EC-NN-NN-FW is a drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It converts incoming three-phase power into controlled output for servo or induction motors and manages motion through fieldbus communication. Used in automated conveyors, pick-and-place heads, and compact machining centers, the unit handles real-time torque, speed, and position control while fitting into densely populated electrical cabinets. Its role is to provide both the power stage and the control platform needed for coordinated axis movement in industrial automation.
It connects to a three-phase mains range of 3 x AC 110...230 V ±10%, allowing operation from common industrial supply systems. During acceleration, the power stage can supply a peak phase current of 18 A, which gives the connected motor reserve for short load surges. Heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no external ducting is required. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, which helps protect against accidental finger contact and requires installation inside a closed control cabinet. Command data is exchanged through a SERCOS III master interface with cross-communication capability, allowing deterministic coordination across multiple drives. The unit does not include a safety interface, so any required safety functions must be handled by the surrounding system.
The control electronics mounted on the power section use the ADVANCED design type, providing extended motion functions and integrated PLC capability. The product is Design Version 1, indicating the first design release of the HCS01 platform. Two configurable feedback channels support Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2, allowing direct evaluation of compatible motor position sensors.
