The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-A-CC-EC-DA-NN-NN-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. As a compact single-axis unit, it regulates power to an attached servo or induction motor, monitors feedback, and exchanges motion commands with a higher-level PLC. This controller integrates into distributed automation lines where tight velocity and position loops are required for packaging, handling, or assembly stations. Its compact format also suits cabinet layouts where one dedicated controller is assigned to each driven axis. Because it is intended for single-axis use, one drive channel is dedicated to one motor rather than being shared across multiple outputs.
The device communicates over the SERCOS III real-time bus, allowing deterministic cross-communication between multiple axes. It accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200–500 V and can source up to 5 A of peak current to the motor windings, a range suited for low-power actuators. An IP20 housing limits ingress to fingers and large debris and is intended for installation inside a control cabinet. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling with an integrated blower that expels heat from the power stage. Encoder feedback is routed through the multifunction interface that supports IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 protocols, allowing absolute position data to reach the drive without additional converters. No dedicated safety interface is included, so machine-level safety must be handled externally.
The control section supplied with this converter is the ADVANCED type, providing extended motion functions and parameter memory for complex profiles. The unit is Version 1. It uses an Infeeding/Feeded power topology, so the controller can return regenerated energy to the DC bus or receive energy from an upstream supply module. The extended control section is suited to applications that require more flexible motion handling inside the drive. DC-bus energy exchange can also reduce the load on the upstream supply when braking energy is available from another axis.
