Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-A-CC-EC-DA-NN-NN-FW is a compact drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Designed for the HCS01 line, it forms the axis side of a modular motion system and converts three-phase input power into precisely regulated motor currents. The unit interfaces with higher-level PLCs to execute velocity, torque, and position loops directly in the drive, which helps reduce bus traffic and cycle times. Because the control loops are handled in the drive, response remains fast when several axes operate together on the same machine network. Its compact format suits packaging machines, material-handling gantries, and small assembly stations where synchronized motion is required inside limited cabinet space.
It accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200 to 500 V ±10% and can deliver a peak output of 18 A to the connected motor. Thermal management uses internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no external ducting is required inside the enclosure. The housing has an IP20 rating for installation in closed control cabinets. This unit uses the ADVANCED control section, which provides extended motion functions and higher processing capacity for demanding multi-axis profiles. It does not include a dedicated safety interface. The cabinet-mounted format is intended for protected electrical enclosures rather than direct exposure on the machine frame.
On the communication side, the controller operates as a SERCOS III master with cross communication, enabling deterministic real-time data exchange between drives without extra fieldbus couplers. Feedback connectivity is provided by IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder feedback, allowing single-turn or multi-turn absolute position monitoring with compatible motors. The supported encoder interfaces let the controller work with common IndraDyn motor feedback systems used for precise servo positioning. The DC-bus energy concept uses infeeding and DC-bus-fed operation, supporting regenerative braking and power sharing across a drive group. This arrangement allows neighboring axes to exchange energy during deceleration and acceleration. The unit is design version 1.
