The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-E-S3-EC-NN-L3-FW is a compact drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. As a control unit, it links power electronics with motion commands, allowing servo or induction motors to run with closed-loop accuracy in automated cells, packaging lines, and material-handling stations. Its integrated power stage combines control and drive functions in one module, which helps simplify cabinet layout while supporting speed, torque, and position control on a single axis. This arrangement is useful where cabinet space is limited and separate amplifier components are not desired.

For network integration, the unit communicates over SERCOS III, ensuring deterministic telegram exchange with PLCs and peer drives. Thermal management uses internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which moves cabinet air across the heat sink without external ducting. The power stage can deliver a device peak current of 8 A, allowing short bursts of higher motor demand during acceleration and load changes. The enclosure carries an IP20 rating, so live parts are protected against finger contact and the controller is intended for installation inside a protected electrical enclosure.

The controller uses the modular ECONOMY control section, which connects to the power base for compact system integration. Feedback wiring is handled through an IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface, allowing absolute position data to reach the servo loop without extra interface cards. The encoder connection also supports commutation and position monitoring during normal operation. For supply flexibility, the rectifier accepts 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10%, so the same unit can operate on a broad range of industrial mains systems.
