The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-A-ET-EC-EC-L3-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It acts as the compact power and control stage between a three-phase mains supply and servo or induction motors in automated machinery, where it converts incoming electrical power into controlled motor output. By combining current regulation, field-oriented control, and standard communication links, the unit supports positioning, speed regulation, and coordinated axis movement in PLC- or CNC-based systems.
It accepts a three-phase input of 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10%, allowing one hardware type to cover a wide range of industrial supply systems. Inside, the power stage can deliver up to 18 A of peak current for short acceleration bursts without immediate thermal derating. Command and diagnostic data travel over a MultiEthernet port, so EtherCAT, Sercos III, and PROFINET networks can use the same controller platform. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which circulates cabinet air across the heat sink without external ductwork. Component protection is rated IP20, so the unit is intended for installation inside an enclosed control cabinet.
The drive belongs to the HCS01 line and pairs with a BASIC control section for parameter setup. Safe shutdown is provided by the integrated STO (Safe Torque Off) interface, which removes motor torque without waiting for mechanical braking. Two identical feedback ports support IndraDyn encoder feedback with Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2 signals, allowing the controller to read position data from a broad range of motors. The power supply topology supports common DC bus infeeding and fed operation, which allows multiple axes to share DC bus energy in the same drive system.
