The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-S4-NN-AW is an HCS Drive Controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. As a compact inverter module, it forms the core of a single-axis or coordinated multi-axis station by converting three-phase AC power into regulated DC link energy and pulse-width-modulated output for synchronous or asynchronous motors. In factory automation, it closes torque, speed, and position loops, relays status data to supervisory PLCs, and executes protective shutdowns when abnormal load or temperature conditions are detected.
Within the HCS01 line, the power electronics connect to plant mains at 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10%, giving flexibility across global supply grids. Inside this voltage window, the inverter can deliver up to 54 A of peak device current for rapid motor acceleration or short overload events. Heat generated by switching losses is removed by internal air cooling with an integrated blower, so no external ducting is required and cabinet layout stays compact. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, which protects against finger contact but requires installation in a closed electrical cabinet. Network wiring is simplified by the embedded MultiEthernet interface, which carries EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and EtherCAT traffic through a single RJ45 connection without option cards.
The control section is classified as BASIC, and the power section and logic board are supplied as one coded assembly. The unit is Design Version 1. Motor feedback enters through an IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface on Interface 1, while Interface 2 is left unequipped to save panel space. DC link management follows an infeeding / feeding scheme, allowing the unit either to return surplus energy to the shared bus or draw energy from it when required.
