Internal Product Review
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-A-CC-EC-EM-L4-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller with internal air cooling through an integrated blower. SERCOS III master cross communication and IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder support make the unit especially attractive for precise, networked motion applications. STO and SBC safety functions add strong machine integration value, and the 18 A peak current is a notable performance advantage.

Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-A-CC-EC-EM-L4-NN-FW is a Bosch Rexroth Indramat drive controller from the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Positioned in the HCS01 line, it combines a power section with a pluggable control section to convert incoming AC power into regulated output for synchronous and asynchronous motors. Within industrial automation cells, the unit provides speed, torque, and position control loops that support coordinated multi-axis motion while keeping cabinet depth and installation space low.
Motion commands and diagnostic data are exchanged through the built-in SERCOS III master with cross communication interface, so the controller can synchronize with other axes on the optical ring without separate gateway hardware. The paired control section is the ADVANCED variant, which supports user-selectable technology functions and parameter storage on an SD card. During acceleration, the power stage can deliver a device peak current of 18 A, giving short-term overload capacity for high-inertia loads. The mains side accepts 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10%, allowing the same model to operate on 230 V or 480 V plant supplies without a step-down transformer. Heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no external heat sink or liquid loop is required.
For safer machine integration, the power section incorporates the dual-channel safety functions STO and SBC. This arrangement shuts off torque and controls brake actuation when the safety circuit opens. High-resolution feedback is accepted through the IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface, while legacy equipment or diagnostic devices can be connected through the secondary encoder emulation output. The IP20 housing allows installation in protected switchgear enclosures, where the controller can be integrated with other cabinet-mounted automation hardware.
