Internal Product Review
The HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-A-CC-EC-CN-S5-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller that stands out with an ADVANCED control section and SERCOS III master cross communication. Internal air cooling through an integrated blower supports stable thermal management, and IP20 protection fits well in enclosed industrial installations. The 13 A peak current and 3 x AC 110...230 V input make the controller a strong choice for responsive IndraDrive motion control.

Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-A-CC-EC-CN-S5-NN-FW is an HCS Drive Controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It combines the power unit with a matching control section to regulate torque, speed, or position of connected motors in modular automation lines. By interfacing with higher-level PLCs, the controller executes motion commands and coordinates multiple axes. This integrated arrangement reduces the need for separate axis-level hardware and helps keep machine layouts compact when several drives are installed in the same control cabinet.
The device exchanges real-time setpoints and feedback through a SERCOS III master interface, enabling deterministic cross-communication among several drives on the ring. Its control section is the ADVANCED variant, so it provides additional processing resources for technology functions such as electronic gearing or camming. Peak output is limited to 13 A, which is the maximum short-term current the inverter can supply during acceleration or brief shock loading. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no external ducting is required inside the cabinet. The IP20 enclosure is intended for clean, dry electrical cabinets where protection against direct finger contact is sufficient.
Line input must remain within 3 x AC 110–230 V ±10%, which gives the controller flexibility with common low-voltage three-phase supplies used on small machines. For motor feedback, the first encoder channel supports IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 protocols, while fieldbus expansion is provided through a dedicated CANopen port for I/O or diagnostic traffic. The power section supports infeeding and fed operation, so it can work either as a mains-fed inverter or as a node on a shared DC bus. Design version 1 belongs to the HCS01 line and pairs only with control sections labeled A, which keeps the control and power sections matched within this product line.
