The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-E-S3-EC-NN-L4-AA-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Designed for cabinet installation, the controller receives three-phase mains power and modulates output to servo and induction motors used in positioning, packaging, and conveyor systems. By coordinating torque and speed through a real-time fieldbus, it forms the active link between the automation controller and the motor, enabling consistent motion sequences on the machine floor.
This model communicates over SERCOS III, allowing deterministic telegram exchange with motion controllers and simplifying multi-axis synchronization. Its input accepts 3-phase 200–500 V AC with a ±10% tolerance, so the same unit can be used across a wide range of industrial power systems. During acceleration peaks, the inverter can deliver up to 28 A to the motor windings, giving short bursts of extra torque beyond the continuous rating. Heat produced by switching devices is removed by internal blower cooling; the fan pulls cabinet air across the heat sink so no external ducting is required. With an enclosure rating of IP20, the unit must be mounted inside a control cabinet but offers finger-safe protection against live parts once installed.
The power section uses an infeeding/feed supply arrangement on a common DC bus and mates with a control section marked ECONOMY. This arrangement supports shared DC bus operation with compatible system components while keeping the controller focused on core motion functions. Position feedback arrives on the combined encoder port that supports IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2, while a second option slot is left blank with no additional interface installed. Integrated functional safety is provided by STO and SBC, giving torque-off and brake-control channels that can be wired to external safety relays.
