Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-L4-AA-FW is an HCS drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. The unit serves as the central power and control interface between the plant supply network and a servo motor, converting incoming AC power for controlled axis operation. It supports precise positioning, speed regulation, and coordinated motion in automated production equipment. Its single-axis format makes it suitable for machine layouts where each motor channel is managed by a dedicated controller.
Communication with higher-level PLCs uses the MultiEthernet port, allowing access to several Ethernet-based fieldbus systems without extra hardware. The power section accepts 3 x AC 200–500 V ±10% input and can deliver up to 18 A of peak current for short acceleration demands on low- to mid-power servo axes. Heat is removed by internal air cooling, with an integrated blower that keeps air moving through the unit without external ducting. Protection is limited to IP20, so the drive must be installed inside a closed control cabinet. This controller belongs to the HCS01 line and is design version 1, which places it within the compact IndraDrive platform for cabinet-mounted motion control.
The control section uses the BASIC variant, and interface slot 1 is prepared for Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 feedback, which supports common motor feedback connections used with Rexroth and compatible motors. Slot 2 is unequipped, so the drive remains focused on applications that do not need a second interface module. Power is handled through an infeeding and fed supply arrangement, allowing the unit to share a common DC bus with other axes and use regenerated energy available on that bus. Functional safety is provided by STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control) channels that act directly on the output stage and motor brake control path. This layout supports closed-loop motion tasks while keeping the electrical structure straightforward for cabinet integration.
