Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-E-S3-EC-NN-L3-NN-FW is a drive controller in the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. As a compact power stage, it conditions three-phase mains power and executes axis commands to regulate synchronous and induction motors in automated machinery. The controller combines power conversion and motion control for a single machine axis, helping keep cabinet layouts compact. It is suitable for automated equipment that requires controlled speed, torque, and positioning.
It communicates with higher-level PLCs over the SERCOS III real-time bus, allowing deterministic cycle times for multi-axis motion. The controller accepts a wide input of 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10%, so it can be connected directly to a broad range of plant supplies without an autotransformer. Inside, power devices are cooled by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which circulates cabinet air across the heat sink and eliminates external ducting. During acceleration events, the inverter can source up to 28 A of peak current to support short bursts of torque at the motor. An IP20 housing limits direct contact with live parts and is intended for installation inside a protected electrical enclosure.
The unit uses an ECONOMY control section, which keeps the control layout focused on core drive functions. Position feedback enters through an IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface, while the second interface slot is left empty. Leaving that second slot empty reduces connection complexity when only one feedback channel is required. Drive enable is managed by integrated STO (Safe Torque Off), which opens the gate drivers and removes motor torque without cutting main power. Energy exchange takes place over a common DC link that supports infeed and feed operation, so the module can accept power from an upstream supply and pass regenerated energy through the shared DC bus.
