Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-ET-EC-NN-S4-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It converts incoming three-phase power into controlled motor energy and processes encoder feedback for coordinated axes. When paired with a BASIC control section, the unit handles positioning, speed, and torque regulation in packaging, conveyor, and machining applications. This supports closed-loop axis control during acceleration, steady running, and changing load conditions.
For networked installations, the controller offers a MultiEthernet port that supports EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and EtherCAT through the same connector. It accepts supply power at 3 × AC 200–500 V ±10%, so the drive can operate from several common plant voltages. A blower provides internal air cooling, which keeps heat moving through the housing without external ducting. During peak motion commands, the drive can deliver 54 A, which must be matched to the connected motor and upstream protection. The IP20 housing is intended for installation inside an electrical cabinet, and the ventilated design allows airflow across internal components. Interface 1 is used for encoder feedback, while Interface 2 is not populated.
The feedback channel uses Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2, which supports high-resolution position data for the BASIC control section. The unit is hardware build level 1 and belongs to the HCS01 platform, so its connector layout and mounting points follow that design. The DC bus stage uses an infeeding and fed configuration, allowing braking energy to be shared with adjacent axes or returned to the mains through a regenerative unit. This arrangement supports multi-axis systems where energy transfer on the shared bus is part of normal drive operation.
