It links line power to servo or asynchronous motors and executes speed, torque, and position commands required for automated production cells. The hardware mounts inside a control cabinet and pairs with its control section to form a complete axis package for compact machines and handling equipment. This arrangement lets a single cabinet-mounted unit manage power conversion and closed-loop motion functions in a compact footprint.
It accepts a three-phase supply of 3 x AC 110 to 230 V ±10%, allowing direct connection to factory low-voltage grids without an isolation transformer. The power stage furnishes a peak output of 9 A, which covers the transient current demand of small IndraDyn actuators during acceleration. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling through an integrated blower, and the built-in fan moves cabinet air across the heat sink without external ducting. The housing carries an IP20 ingress rating, so it must be installed in an enclosed panel to prevent contact with live parts. Motion and diagnostic data are exchanged over a SERCOS III master with cross communication link, enabling deterministic coordination with neighboring drives in a ring topology.
The control section supplied is coded ADVANCED, offering extended motion functions and an internal bus that supports parameter access through the power module. For functional safety, it integrates STO (Safe Torque Off), which disables the IGBTs without disturbing fieldbus communication.
