Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0009-A-02-E-S3-EC-EP-L4-NN-FW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Designed for compact single-axis automation, the unit regulates servo and induction motors in packaging, material-handling, and assembly equipment. It converts three-phase mains energy into a controlled DC bus and modulates pulses to perform closed-loop torque, speed, and position control, acting as an axis-level actuator interface in industrial automation.
The main communication link is SERCOS III, allowing cyclic setpoint exchange and real-time diagnostics over Ethernet-based fiber or copper networks. A control section identified as ECONOMY limits the option set to essential motion functions for straightforward axis control. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, where an integrated blower channels cabinet air across the heat sink, eliminating the need for external fans. The current stage supports a device peak of 9 A, so short acceleration bursts can be supplied without exceeding semiconductor limits. An IP20 housing means live parts are finger-safe, but the drive must be installed in a closed electrical cabinet for dust and fluid protection.
The line operates from 3 × AC 110–230 V ±10 %, matching low-voltage mains in modular machines and permitting direct connection without an intermediate transformer. When paired with the ECONOMY control section, safety functions STO/SBC are active, enabling torque shutoff and brake control via dedicated terminals to satisfy Category 3 stop requirements. Encoder feedback through Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 sockets lets the controller process absolute position data for precise interpolation. The unit uses an infeeding and feeding power supply topology, so several drives can share a common DC bus. This is Version 1 of the design.
