Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-B-ET-EC-EC-L4-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. As a compact inverter with integrated control electronics, it supplies regulated three-phase power to connected servo motors and synchronizes their motion with higher-level automation equipment. In an industrial cabinet, the unit translates network commands into controlled torque, speed, and position output while monitoring electrical and thermal limits. This arrangement supports closed-loop motion tasks in automated machinery that require a compact drive platform.
For system integration, the controller offers a MultiEthernet port, so one hardware platform can communicate on EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT without add-on cards. Its input side accepts 3 x AC 200 to 500 V ±10% and manages energy through a shared DC bus for coordinated cabinet operation. During rapid acceleration, it can deliver a device peak current of 28 A, and heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower to keep the power section within its operating range. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, so it offers finger-safe access but still requires installation inside a closed electrical cabinet.
The unit uses a basic control section, which provides standard motion functions for common servo applications. Integrated STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control) safety channels support motor power removal and controlled brake actuation without external relays. Two feedback ports accept IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder signals, allowing accurate position feedback for both linear and rotary axes. The power stage supports infeeding or fed operation, so it can return regenerative energy to the DC bus or use surplus energy supplied by upstream converters.
